Introduction

We would like to introduce our company, Hanwha Azdel, a prominent and still-growing player in the supplying of materials to RV and specialty trailer OEMs, laminators and distributors.  Our Azdel Onboard® brand of composite panels has been used regularly in the construction of RV sidewalls since 2006.  A superior alternative to lauan plywood, our portfolio of thicknesses, finishes and applications has recently expanded, providing a means for manufacturers to improve even more areas of their units.  Our product can be found in over 300 product lines across over 50 manufacturers, and more are adopting our product in the construction of their recreational vehicles.  Why?

Customers are educating themselves prior to their purchase, and are opting for a lighter, safer, longer lasting coach, and one that is also better for the environment.  They are expecting better quality and a greater overall return on their purchase.  Manufacturers can now offer this by simply choosing a superior substrate for their lamination.

Our product also comes with ongoing technical and marketing support to match your levels of comfort and need.

We welcome you to read on to discover the contents of our sample box, and to learn more about our product and why it is the superior and clear choice for manufacturers.

Manufacturer and Consumer Marketing Flyers

Azdel OEM and Floor flyers

Our large trifold OEM flyer highlights Azdel applications, the long list of benefits for them and for RV owners, and the testing that was (or can be) performed. More RV information is found here. The Floor trifold compares Azdel floor test results with those of common industry floors. More info can be found on our Floor page.

Azdel trifold brochure

This consumer trifold brochure explains many of the benefits of Azdel composite, the drawbacks to wood in RV construction, and indicates the many locations on an RV where Azdel can be found.

Azdel Radius Wrap and DuraBlend flyers

Our Radius Wrap flyer explains the testing that was performed on various substrates for radius applications, and compares results. Click here to learn more. Our DuraBlend™ flyer compares our inline interior film with common industry films. See the bottom of this page for more information.

Azdel Performance Test List

This document touches on a variety of tests performed on Azdel composite, our standard/raw composite and our DuraBlend interior, beginning with the Stain & Solvent Test. More about this test is explained here.

You’ll also find test information and results related to Burn Resistance and Flame Spread, and you can read similar information here.

Mold growth testing was also explained and related info can be found here.

Azdel Performance Test List image

Included in this document is test data on the Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC). We’ve performed additional sound absorption tests since, and all can be found here.

Like on the Radius Wrap flyer, flex testing data is also included and can be found on its related page.

QR Code / Info Lookup Page & Resource List

We include a QR-code-style info lookup page to quickly take you to pages on our website and videos hosted on our YouTube channel (and also found on this site).

QR Code Lookup & CP Resource List - image

Our Composite Panel Resources list includes our network of distributors, material fabricators and laminators. Some of these produce FRP for use on RV exteriors, some laminate the FRP to Azdel for hung wall skins, some laminate entire walls and floors, and some make gel walls, a premium exterior wall construction method that is usually both heavier and smoother than a typical laminated skin. You may view and print the list here.

Mini Water Soak Test Jars - image

The Water Soak Test compares how a specimen of both Azdel composite and lauan react to being in a sealed container half full of water. It’s become fairly common knowledge that the lauan will begin to show mold in 5-7 days, while the Azdel sample will not… at all… ever.

We include a mini set with instructions in each sample box so you can witness it for yourself. Learn more about mold growth here and our composite’s resistance to water here.

Marketing support pieces are available to our manufacturing customers on an unlimited basis and at no charge. We simply want to help promote the use of our material, which instantly upgrades an RV for them and their customers.

Azdel Hang Tag Front & Back images

We offer two types of hang tags — one that depicts the use of Azdel composite on the exterior side only, and one that shows it both sides. The backside of both versions highlights the benefits.

Unit stickers have been used for years by manufacturers to help indicate to consumers that Azdel is used in their RV construction. They are usually placed on or near the entry door. More recently, we developed an enhanced shield sticker that specifies in a basic way where our composite is used. These are available for companies using it for two or more applications.

These sample pieces, a wall “cutout” and a “puck”, help to get both a finished (laminated) version and an original version of the material in your hands. The cutout pieces include Azdel on both sides of the wall. The pucks include a label that highlights the benefits. Pucks are a popular tool among manufacturer salespeople to show the product to dealers.

While the core of our composite is generally the same, a couple variants aside, a number of finish options are available. Custom Printed Panels was a 2024 development, as was a Soft Touch surface.

Our variety of options opens the door to many possibilities. Whether your needs are for a finished, decorative surface or an unfinished substrate, there is an Azdel Onboard composite that’ll work for you.
